About Me

I’m Bray Schurman. I build for the web, mostly across product surfaces, internal tools, and the systems behind them.

Lately that has meant spending a lot of time with TypeScript, React, Next.js, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, and various AI-assisted workflows. I tend to be most interested in the parts where interface, infrastructure, and process start to overlap.

I like shaping systems that reduce friction: better developer workflows, cleaner architecture, reliable pipelines, and products that feel simple on the surface even when they are doing something fairly involved underneath.

I’m especially interested in how agents and command line tools can work in harmony, and how that changes the way certain software should be designed. More and more, it feels worth asking whether a system is clear and workable for a person, an AI, or ideally both.

This site is a place to keep track of some of that work. Projects, notes, experiments, and the patterns that keep showing up.
